On Monday, November 16, 2015, Dr. Venkatesh delivered a public lecture on the Someone Canada initiative and Grimposium festivals at the Litteraturhuset in Oslo at an event organised by the Embassy of Canada to Norway. Lucien Chen from Likestillings- og diskrimineringsombudet, recorded the talk.

The Embassy also organized a roundtable for Dr. Venkatesh that included the European Wergeland Centre and other Norwegian partners. Participants discussed how Canada and Norway could work together to combat online hate speech, develop digital literacy among youth and help educators create space for constructive dialogue in their classrooms. Work is underway to more fully develop these partnerships.
